Landscape Intern information

What is a landscape intern?

Landscape Interns are students or recent graduates who assist professional landscape architects, designers, or contractors with various tasks related to designing, planning, and maintaining outdoor spaces. They typically gain hands-on experience by working on projects such as gardens, parks, urban environments, and ecological restorations. Their responsibilities may include site analysis, drafting plans, preparing presentations, and supporting project management. The internship is an opportunity to learn industry skills, software, and sustainable practices while building a professional portfolio.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a landscape intern, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Landscape Intern, you need a basic understanding of landscape design principles, horticulture, and environmental science, often supported by progress toward a degree in landscape architecture or a related field. Familiarity with design software like AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite, as well as basic hand-drafting and model-building skills, is typically required. Strong attention to detail, creativity, and effective communication help interns collaborate within teams and contribute innovative ideas. These skills and qualities are crucial for supporting project development, learning industry standards, and building a foundation for future professional growth.

What types of projects and tasks can a landscape intern expect to work on during their internship?

As a Landscape Intern, you can expect to be involved in a variety of tasks that support landscape architects and designers, such as assisting with site analysis, preparing conceptual drawings, conducting research on plant materials, and helping to create presentations for clients. You may also participate in site visits, collaborate with other interns or team members, and gain hands-on experience with design software commonly used in the industry. This role offers a valuable opportunity to observe the design process from concept to implementation while building technical and teamwork skills essential for a future career in landscape architecture.

proposals and reports for public-sector and corporate partners
โ€ข Stakeholder Liaison: Coordinate deliverables and communications between Sunnyvale
HQ, our regional Korea offices, and partner organizations to ensure global alignment.
B) Business Development & Pipeline Discipline
โ€ข Operational Powerhouse: Support the BD pipeline by managing senior leadership's
scheduling, ensuring timely follow-ups, and tracking partner meeting outcomes.
โ€ข Accountability Tracking: Maintain active task tracking for ongoing BD and partnership
responsibilities using Rocketlane and Salesforce.
โ€ข CRM Management: Ensure all records, client correspondence, and project milestones
are accurately documented in Salesforce to maintain data integrity.
C) Operations & Logistics Coordination

โ€ข Technical: Hands-on experience with Salesforce, Rocketlane, Google

โ€ข Discipline: Strong time management skills with a proven ability to prioritize multiple
concurrent BD and program tasks with minimal supervision.
โ€ข Flexibility: Ability to work flexible hours to accommodate time zone differences with
partners in Korea.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
โ€ข Prior experience in Startup, Venture Capital (VC), or Corporate Venture Capital
(CVC) environments.
โ€ข Familiarity with government-funded acceleration cycles and reporting nuances.
โ€ข Knowledge of emerging technologies in Mobility, Physical AI, or Defense Tech.
WHAT WE OFFER:
โ€ข Global Exposure: Work at the forefront of innovation, connecting with C-suite

โ€ข Career Growth: A fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment where performance is
rewarded with increased ownership.
โ€ข Vibrant Culture: Join a dynamic, international team that values teamwork, intellectual
