We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Supervisor, Landscaping, to lead and inspire our landscaping team in creating beautiful, sustainable outdoor spaces. In this role, you will oversee daily operations related to landscape maintenance, gardening, lawn care, tree care, irrigation systems, and construction projects. Your leadership will ensure high-quality work, adherence to safety standards, and efficient project completion. Responsibilities:

JOB DUTIES:

  • Large-scale landscape installation, including residential communities, city parks, green space, and large commercial developments
  • Coordinate, manage, and motivate the day-to-day activities of crew members and subcontractors
  • Participate in construction activities and support your team in accomplishing daily production targets
  • Implement operating methods and procedures designed to improve productivity and product quality with guidance from the Superintendent
  • Review all project specifications, the scope of work, and site conditions with the Superintendent and help establish project schedules and priorities
  • Identify hazards and other potential obstacles during project construction and recommend potential solutions
  • Responsible for the overall health & safety of crew members and the job site, including training, incident reporting, and enforcement
  • Provide coaching, training, and performance evaluation, and communicate job expectations to direct reports
  • Identify needs for supplies, materials, & equipment and report to the Superintendent at the beginning of each week
  • Identify requirements for tools & equipment and ensure their availability prior to project construction
  • Accountable for assigned trucks, trailers, bobcats, and other tools/equipment to ensure their safe operation and maintenance
  • Conduct daily reviews of project production status with the Superintendent and resolve on-site operational, human resource, and technical problems to minimize the impact on the project schedule and budget
  • Develop and maintain client relationships for each project and ensure that any issues that can affect the contract are reported to the Superintendent
  • Attend project meetings as a representative of the company
  • Provide daily production & activity reports, communication logs, and other relevant information and documents to the Superintendent
  • Prepare and approve all daily timesheets for crew members and ensure time is coded to the proper job costing
  • Practice, encourage, and enforce the company's corporate values.
  • This is a working supervisor position; you must be able and willing to get your hands dirty with the rest of your team

Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in landscape maintenance, landscaping design, or construction with a strong background in horticulture or gardening
  • Supervising experience leading teams in outdoor or landscaping environments
  • Knowledge of lawn care techniques, tree care practices, irrigation systems, and general garden maintenance
  • Familiarity with construction processes related to hardscaping or landscape installation projects
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop team members
  • Excellent organizational skills for planning projects and managing multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Ability to operate or oversee the operation of landscaping equipment safely and efficiently
  • Effective communication skills for collaborating with clients, team members, and vendors
  • Certifications in horticulture, arboriculture (tree care), or irrigation systems are a plus, but not required
