Machine Operator – Execute High-End Residential Exterior Projects with Yard Boss Landscape Design


Job Overview:

  • Salary/Pay Rate: $24.00 - $40.00 per hour (Plus Performance-Based Bonus)
  • Location: Mattapoisett, MA (20% travel required)

  • Project Scope: High-End Residential Exteriors & Landscaping
  • Mandatory Licences & Certifications: Massachusetts 2A Hydraulic License


The Opportunity:

You will serve as a lead heavy equipment operator executing high-end residential landscaping and site development projects across the region. Working with a company that prioritizes its people, you will have the autonomy to drive complex site work while growing your career. Your expertise will directly shape elite outdoor environments for discerning residential clients.


How You Will Make an Impact:

  • Operate heavy excavation and landscape machinery safely to execute site preparation and grading.
  • Execute precise grading, trenching, and material movement for high-end residential installations.
  • Inspect and maintain assigned machinery daily to ensure optimal operation and site safety.
  • Collaborate with field crews to ensure seamless project delivery aligned with design specs.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Active Hoisting License.
  • Valid DOT Medical Examiner Certificate  
  • Demonstrated experience operating heavy machinery on active field sites.
  • Proven ability to work independently as a career-oriented self-starter.
  • Strong commitment to workplace safety and equipment maintenance routines.


Preferred Qualifications & Experience:

  • 5+ years of heavy machinery operation in residential landscaping or excavation.
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Broad experience with site prep for luxury outdoor living environments.
