Job description

Job Summary:

Angelo's Landscape Group is looking for an individual with a primary purpose to lead a Landscape Maintenance Crew. This position will perform general scheduled landscape maintenance tasks while supervising their team - making sure the tasks are completed in a safe manner while meeting or exceeding Angelo's standards of quality, production, and customer service.

Job Functions:

The following tasks may include, but are not limited to:


  • Perform assigned landscaping tasks in accordance with project requirements and the scope of work in a timely manner. Typical projects include, but are not limited to: Grass mowing, string trimming, edging, pruning of plants & trees, weed pulling, trash removal, herbicide spraying, mulch spreading, and some occasional planting of plants, trees, and sod.
  • Communicate with Account Managers regarding specific job scope, property details, & client needs, and reporting back to them upon completion of assigned work.
  • Promoting a safe work environment; understanding and modeling company safety policies, proper use of (PPE) and procedures and report any accidents and/or unsafe conditions to management immediately.
  • Supervise the proper and safe operation of truck and trailer, mowing equipment, and hand tools. Ensure all equipment is secured at all times in the truck and trailer, on the job site, and at the shop at the end of the day.
  • Perform basic level preventative maintenance on equipment such as checking fluid levels, air filters, tire pressure, etc.
  • Ensure that assigned crew members perform the duties of the day's work to Angelo's and industry standards by continued on-site training & instruction.
  • Report any damage to company equipment or job site property in a timely manner.
  • Work all assigned hours; confirm that assigned crew time worked is accurate according to time reporting procedures. Report any discrepancies to your manager.
  • Interact with managers, customers, crew members, and peers in a professional and courteous manner, and demonstrate appropriate dress and conduct to Angelo's expectations at all times.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Compensation:

This position is paid an hourly payrate and, at the discretion of the Employer, may include bonuses and/or extra compensation based on performance of the employee. Pay is competitive to the industry's standard.

Hours of Work:

  • 40+ hours per week (Monday - Friday) and may include Saturdays.

Education and Experience:

  • At least 2 years' experience performing landscape maintenance and related tasks preferred.
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Experience supervising and coaching teams of 2 or more in using landscape equipment, tools, and techniques.
  • Experience maintaining equipment and enforcing safety policies and procedures (PPE).
  • Ability to handle the workload and physical demands of the job.
  • Interact and communicate effectively with others in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Valid U.S. Driver's License - (Required)
