Position Summary:
We are seeking a dependable and safety-focused Delivery Driver to join our growing landscape company. This role is responsible for transporting large, heavy materials such as soil, mulch, stone, and equipment using a dump trailer to and from job sites, suppliers, and our yard. The ideal candidate must hold a valid DOT (Department of Transportation) license and have experience handling heavy loads safely and efficiently including Skid Loader experience.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate a truck with a dump trailer to pick up and deliver landscape materials and equipment.
  • Transport heavy loads including soil, mulch, gravel, stone, and plant materials to various job sites.
  • Perform daily vehicle inspections and maintain accurate DOT logs.
  • Ensure materials are loaded, secured, and unloaded properly to prevent shifting or damage during transit.

  • Experience working with Skid Loaders and other Landscape Equipment
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers, site supervisors, and vendors to ensure timely deliveries.
  • Follow all DOT, federal, and state regulations as well as company safety policies.
  • Assist with loading/unloading.
  • Maintain a clean and organized truck and trailer.
  • Report any mechanical issues or delays to management promptly.
Requirements:

  • Valid DOT license (Commercial Driver's License CDL Class A or B, as applicable).

  • Proven experience driving with dump trailers and handling large/heavy loads.
  • Clean driving record and current medical examiners certificate.
  • Ability to lift and maneuver materials weighing 50100 lbs regularly.
  • Knowledge of safe loading practices and proper use of tie-downs and tarps.
  • Strong time management and communication skills.
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
