Job description

The Landscape Account Manager will meet with customers, evaluate landscaping needs, prepare estimates and proposals, coordinate approved projects, and maintain ongoing customer relationships. The position is well suited for an entry-level candidate with strong communication, organization, and relationship-building skills who is interested in developing a long-term career in landscape sales and project management. Training will be provided.

Responsibilities:

· Work closely with the current salesperson during a structured period to learn existing residential and commercial accounts, customer expectations, pricing practices, and company procedures.

· Build and maintain professional, long-term relationships with customers.

· Meet with current and prospective customers to evaluate property needs, discuss available services, and recommend solutions aligned with their goals and budgets.

· Conduct site visits, take measurements, document conditions, and gather the information needed to prepare accurate estimates and proposals.

· Prepare and present proposals, service agreements, project scopes, and pricing to customers.

· Follow up on leads and outstanding proposals and maintain consistent communication throughout the sales process.

· Coordinate approved work with operations, field crews, vendors, and office personnel to support proper scheduling and execution.

· Communicate project scope, customer expectations, material needs, scheduling requirements, and approved changes to the appropriate internal teams.

· Monitor active projects and visit job sites as needed to confirm progress, quality, and alignment with the approved scope.

· Keep customers informed of project status, scheduling changes, delays, and other relevant developments.

· Identify scope changes, additional work, or service opportunities and obtain customer approval before work proceeds.

· Resolve customer questions or concerns in partnership with operations and company leadership.

· Maintain accurate records of customer activity, proposals, projects, follow-up commitments, and account details.

· Confirm project completion and customer satisfaction and support any necessary follow-up.

· Identify opportunities to expand services within existing accounts.

· Develop new residential and commercial business through referrals, networking, incoming leads, and relationship-building activities.

· Build working knowledge of the company’s landscaping, maintenance, irrigation, lawn care, hardscaping, seasonal, and enhancement services.

· Represent Horstmann Brothers Landscaping professionally during customer meetings, site visits, networking events, and community activities.

· Associates or Bachelor's degree in horticulture, business admin, marketing, or other related fields a plus.

· Current commercial pesticide applicator’s license or willingness to obtain the license is a bonus.

· Previous experience in customer service, sales, account management, landscaping, construction, property services, or project coordination is helpful but not required.

· Possess strong communication, organization, and customer-service skills.

· Ability and willingness to learn landscaping services, estimating, sales, account management, and project coordination.

· Strong verbal and written communication skills.

· Ability to build and maintain professional customer relationships.
