Job description

Position Summary
Landmark Builders is seeking an experienced Commercial Construction Safety Manager to serve as a hands-on safety resource across our project sites. In this role, you will partner with project teams to implement site safety plans, conduct inspections, deliver training, and support incident investigations, helping ensure every person on every jobsite goes home safe. If you're a credentialed safety professional who leads by influence, communicates with clarity, and takes pride in building a strong safety culture, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
Site Safety & Compliance
  • Conduct regular site safety inspections, document findings, and support corrective action plans
  • Assist project teams with site-specific safety plan development, job hazard analysis, and pre-task planning
  • Participate in OSHA/NCDOL compliance inspections and support crisis management activities
  • Assist with security, loss control, and the distribution of safety signage and equipment on new projects

Training & Incident Management
  • Deliver safety orientations for new hires, toolbox talks, and equipment operator training
  • Support the Corporate Safety Director in leading incident investigations through to resolution
  • Aid the workers' compensation claims manager with injury documentation, including minor incidents
  • Administer random, for-cause, and post-accident drug testing

Team & Subcontractor Support
  • Attend and facilitate safety committee meetings, pre-construction/pre-install meetings, and subcontractor meetings
  • Provide guidance and assistance to subcontractors to promote jobsite safety compliance
  • Research and procure safety equipment and PPE; maintain confined space gas monitoring equipment and calibration
Qualifications
  • Working knowledge of OSHA standards 1926 and 1910, with experience in commercial construction environments
  • OSHA Outreach Trainer certification required; CSP or CHST designation strongly preferred
  • Strong communicator and collaborator able to influence safety culture across diverse teams and subcontractors
  • Solution-oriented mindset with excellent interpersonal, facilitation, and organizational skills
