Current MES Employees who are interested in applying for this position must visit the Internal MES Careers Page by going to their Workday Dashboard, clicking on the Career icon and selecting Find Jobs.This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading team that provides environmental solutions to the public and private sectors throughout the State of Maryland.Job Description:Maryland Environmental Service has an opening for a Landfill Operation Manager within our Environmental Operations Group.This position is responsible for the overall management and coordination of day-to-day operations at Maryland Environmental Service's two Subtitle D landfills, Midshore I and Midshore II, as well as two co-located homeowner drop-off facilities.Estimated Pay Range:$84,935.76 - $116,800.32Benefits:Health Insurance with choice of medical plan and prescription, dental, vision, and life and disability insurance options, along with flexible spending accounts401K retirement savings program with generous agency matchPaid vacation, personal and sick leaveEleven paid holidays per yearTuition assistanceMinimum Requirements:Bachelor's Degree in related field, plus 6 years of solid waste landfill management experience, and valid SWANA MOLO (Manager of Landfill Operations) certification.Note: Applicants may substitute additional experience as defined above at the rate of one year of experience to one year of education, for up to four years of the required education.Must have a valid driver's license with less than 5 points.This position will be open until filled.Any offer of employment will be contingent upon successfully completing required pre-employment screens, to include full background check, drug & alcohol screening, and position appropriate physical.Maryland Environmental Service is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
