About the Role

We are looking for a sharp, ambitious, and real estate-savvy Land Acquisition Associate to join our business unit focused on acquiring energized land. Reporting directly to the Chief Development Officer you will support end-to-end execution of land acquisitions, from identifying target sites to negotiating with sellers and facilitating closings. This role offers high visibility, the opportunity to own full acquisition lifecycles, and meaningful involvement in shaping Datapranaโ€™s real estate footprint.

Key Outcomes โ€“ Year 1
  • Assume end-to-end ownership of at least 15 land acquisition projects.
  • Successfully acquire at least 10 land plots suitable for data center development.
  • Build and maintain a proprietary pipeline of 50+ viable land opportunities.
Responsibilities

As a Land Acquisition Associate at Dataprana your responsibilities include:

  • Identify and evaluate land near power infrastructure.
  • Maintain a pipeline of sites, brokers, and landowners.
  • Source offโ€‘market deals and track lead quality.
  • Build and manage relationships with real estate brokers.
  • Support or lead negotiations with landowners and brokers.
  • Draft LOIs, offers, and coordinate closings with legal.
4. Reporting & Presentations
  • Maintain trackers and dashboards.
  • Prepare materials for internal and external stakeholders.
What Youโ€™ll Need to Succeed
  • 2+ years of experience in real estate acquisitions, land development, or site selection.
  • Strong understanding of property valuation, zoning, permitting, and transaction processes.
  • Skilled at building and sustaining trusted relationships (e.g., with brokers, sellers, and internal stakeholders).
  • Proven ability to conduct due diligence and coordinate closing activities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong ownership mindset โ€” proactive, self-directed, and solutions-focused.
  • Thrives in a startup environment with evolving priorities and fast timelines.
  • Collaborative, reliable, and solutions-oriented.
Ideal Candidate
  • Familiarity with energy infrastructure or utility permitting.
  • Experience negotiating purchase agreements or working directly with sellers.
  • Exposure to data center or industrial land use cases.
  • Primary Location: Remote (Texas preferred)
  • Travel Requirements: Moderate travel as needed for site visits and pre-development meetings
Compensation
  • Base: $70,000 โ€“ $90,000 (DOE)
  • Commission based on land acquired / electrical capacity secured
