What does a land surveyor assistant do?

A land surveyor assistant helps a surveying team with mapping boundaries and topographical features of land parcels, such as a potential building or drilling site, or a stretch of protected wilderness. As a land surveyor assistant, your responsibilities are to measure the dimensions of the land, stake out the borders, assess whether there are any water sites, and determine if there are restrictions to the airspaces bordering the job site.
