Job description

Summary

A survey crew chief will manage the field work for different types of land surveys in the local Jacksonville and surrounding areas. Experience in Boundary, Topographic, ATLA & As-Built surveys is required, as well as familiarity with total station and GPS data collection methods. A crew chief should have a high level of leadership and communication skills, as well as a thorough and detail-oriented approach to organizing and completing projects.

Qualifications

  • Proficient in GPS technology and land surveying techniques
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Experience with Trimble data collection methods
  • Knowledge of ALTA surveys and construction practices
  • Competence in trigonometry and geometry as applied to surveying

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and lead a field crew of survey technicians.
  • Complete Boundary, Topographic, and As-built Surveys
  • Coordinate with team members to ensure projects are completed on time.
