Four One Seven is a regional lifestyle company in southwest Missouri. The multimedia company owns and produces 417 Magazine, Biz 417, 417mag.com , biz417.com , 417 Custom Publishing and high impact thought leadership events.

Four One Seven is looking for a Sales & Advertising Director, who drives revenue growth while ensuring exceptional client experiences. This role will oversee both sales strategy and client services, ensuring seamless coordination between revenue generation, client retention, and new business development.

  • Own total advertising revenue and performance against goals
  • Maintain clear visibility into pipeline, pacing, and projections
  • Identify risks early and take action to stay on track
  • Drive strategy for new business development and market expansion
  • Support and, at times, participate in high-value client conversations
  • Ensure consistent pipeline growth across the team
Client Services & Account Management
  • Own the effectiveness of the sales process from prospecting to close
  • Ensure CRM accuracy, pipeline visibility, and reporting consistency
  • Partner with Sales Operations to improve efficiency and tracking
  • Partner with Account Services to ensure strong client retention and satisfaction
  • Step in on key accounts as needed to support long-term relationships
  • Ensure alignment between what is sold and what is delivered
Coaching & Team Development
  • Lead and coach Account Executives to hit and exceed goals
  • Create clarity around expectations, activity, and results
  • Ensure seamless collaboration between sales, account management, and internal teams.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong ability to drive revenue and hold people accountable, while having confidence in managing pipeline, forecasting, and CRM systems.

They have the ability to balance strategy with hands-on execution and is an excellent communicator with relationship-building skills. The candidate must be comfortable operating in a growing, evolving environment.

A Bachelor's degree in Business, Communication, or equivalent experience and education required, along with 4+ years of experience supporting a sales team in a leadership, strategy, or client services capacity.

Media, advertising, or agency experience and proven experience leading or coaching a sales team to results is a plus.

Evaluations and Outcomes

The position will be evaluated after 90 days followed by annual performance reviews.

Working Conditions

Normal working conditions in an office environment absent extreme factors. Travel will be required, even after hours or on weekends, for local community events.
