About this opportunity

Cenovus's New Grad Program aims to attract, develop and retain exceptional new grads to build a top talent pipeline for the company. The program provides new grads with a broad understanding of Cenovus's core business through challenging work assignments, training and development, field exposure, and the opportunity to develop a large network of contacts through networking and mentorship opportunities.

Our Program consists of three consecutive 12-month rotational assignments that span Cenovus's varied business areas. Upon completion of the three-year program, you will be matched to a permanent role within the organization. This role will be based on business needs and relocation may be required.

The Wells & Land New Grad Analyst plays a key role in supporting the full lifecycle of oil and gas assets through a structured threeyear rotational program across both the Land and Wells functions. This role provides foundational exposure to land administration, well licensing, operational reporting, regulatory compliance, and core data management practices. Upon completion of the rotation, the Analyst will transition into a permanent placement within the Well Delivery organization.

This role is designed as an entrylevel professional learning experience, offering broad exposure to both land asset management and well lifecycle processes. The Analyst will develop a solid foundation in regulatory compliance, operational data management, and asset stewardship, preparing them for a successful career within the Well Delivery group.

What you'll do

Responsibilities may include:

  • Support the acquisition, maintenance, and administration of land rights, land agreements, third-party road use, crossings, encroachments, and other accessrelated documentation.

  • Participate in the preparation, submission, and tracking of well license applications, drilling submissions, completions and operations reporting, abandonment activities, and reclamation documentation.

  • Develop an understanding of regulatory requirements across the asset lifecycle, ensuring all land and well obligations are met in accordance with applicable regulations and corporate standards.

  • Conduct quality control and maintain accurate, timely records within corporate land and wells systems, ensuring data integrity across all submissions and filings.

  • Support due diligence efforts, gather technical and regulatory inputs, and assist with process improvements to enhance efficiency and compliance across both Land and Wells workflows.

Who you are

Our ideal candidate will have the following minimum qualifications:

  • Legally authorized to work in Canada.

  • Available to begin work June 2027.

  • Must have a Energy, Petroleum, Regulatory, Data Management diploma or Land certificate obtained by May 31, 2027, and completed within the last 2 years (2025, 2026 or 2027).
