With offices in New Jersey and Pennsylvania, we provide expertise in all of the major areas of civil engineering, municipal engineering, municipal planning, and land surveying.

We are currently seeking a qualified and motivated Civil Engineering design professional to join our dynamic team as a Design Engineer in our Pottstown, PA office. The ideal candidate should possess progressive experience in the design of private subdivision and land development projects.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design a wide variety of subdivision and land development projects across various sectors (Residential, Retail, Commercial, Industrial and Institutional) in the Southeastern Pennsylvania region.
  • Perform reviews of Zoning, Subdivision and Land Development, Stormwater and other regulatory agency ordinances/regulations for applicability to a given project.
  • Provide Sr. Project Designers with design assistance as required for a given project.
  • Prepare or assist with preparation of Sketch Plans, Site Plans, Grading, Utilities, Road & Utility Profile Plans. Must have a fundamental knowledge of stormwater management and E&S design.
  • Prepare Subdivision and Land Development Plan design packages, reports, and submissions. For smaller projects this may be done independently or for larger projects would be teamed with and support a Senior Designer for such work.
  • Possess a working knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Hydroflow stormwater design software in addition to working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
  • Meet with project managers and other team members on a regular basis in order to receive and coordinate goals, schedules, timelines, and updates pertaining to all active projects.
  • Engage in regular communication with project managers and other team members in regard to the status and progress of activities and timelines for assigned tasks.
  • Possess strong time management skills.

Qualifications

  • BS in Civil Engineering or related field preferred
  • 2-3 years of progressive experience in the design of private subdivision and land development projects.
  • EIT preferred
  • Completion of continuing education classes or coursework relevant to the industry or position
