This is an exciting opportunity for an energetic individual with a desire to help design and implement projects that shape communities. You'll play an important role in preparing design drawings and calculations across a range of public and private sector developments.

What You'll Do:
As part of our experienced water services team, you'll play a key role in planning, designing, and executing impactful public and private capital improvement and civil site projects. Your work will directly support the development of resilient communities and long-term client partnerships. Here's how you'll make a difference:
โ€ข Lead and assist projects through every phase-from planning to design to construction
โ€ข Mentor up-and-coming engineers, while keeping projects on schedule and within budget
โ€ข Create clear, high-quality documentation in line with project scope and quality standards
โ€ข Dive into technical studies, collaborate with sub-consultants, and contribute your expertise to reports and analyses
โ€ข Work directly with clients to understand needs and deliver solutions to building strong, lasting client relationships
โ€ข Get involved with local clients and business development opportunities to help grow our impact
What You Bring to the Team:
You're a forward-thinking problem solver with a collaborative spirit and a desire to grow into leadership. Here's what we're looking for:
โ€ข Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline (Master's is a plus!)
โ€ข PE license in any state (or ability to obtain licensure in KS or MO within 90 days of hire date)
โ€ข 5 plus years of proven experience in design development of stormwater, transportation, public and/or private engineering services
โ€ข Experience or familiarity with hydraulic modeling, CAD, and/or GIS is a plus.
โ€ข Ability to prepare design computations, engineering letters, and technical reports.
โ€ข A collaborative spirit and the desire to work with both internal teams and external partners on infrastructure layout.
โ€ข Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
โ€ข Confidence in preparing client presentations, technical memos, detailed reports, and construction contract documents
โ€ข A proactive attitude and a passion for participating in a dynamic, employee-owned culture
โ€ข Interest in professional societies and community involvement. Active involvement preferred.
