Brief Role Description
This position is a career level Intern and is located in San Jose, CA role classification of Fully On Site.

  • The candidate will be placed in an interdisciplinary team working towards autonomous driving functions
  • The intern will use a prototype vehicle equipped with state of the art sensors to access to the vehicles internal communication systems.
  • The internship includes hands-on involvement in vehicle testing, data collection, and data analysis related to automated and assisted driving features.
  • The intern will learn how test data from vehicle sensors and systems is processed, analyzed, and used to evaluate system performance and enable data-driven development decisions.

Possible Tasks within this Role
  • Support planning and execution of vehicle testing activities for automated and assisted driving features
  • Perform data analysis to evaluate system behavior, identify trends or anomalies, and assess performance metrics
  • Research and evaluation of state-of-the-art algorithms with a focus on test results and data-driven insights
  • Implementation and extension of algorithms in Python or C++ with emphasis on data processing and analysis
  • Support verification and validation activities through analysis and documentation of test results

Qualification requirements
  • Must have a High School Graduation by the time of internship or be enrolled at a University/College or Graduation date must be within the last six months
  • Strong background in C++ or Python, including scripting for data processing and analysis.
  • Experience with Linux systems or embedded devices
  • Experience with electrical circuits and autonomous systems
  • Fluent in English, German is a plus
