WELDER -WESSELS 1st amp; 3rd Shift
Layout, set-up, and weld sheet metal and heavy plate fabrications per blueprint. Operate all required fabrication equipment. Weld multiple applications such as hand welding, manipulator welding, and positioner welding of pressure vessels per ASME specifications. Use a variety of hand power tools and measuring instruments. Will inspect and clean up their work to ensure quality.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Must be well organized and have good communication skills.
  • Must be self-motivated.
  • Must have knowledge of the use of hand tools and power equipment.
  • Must have good attention to detail.
  • Must have good mathematical skills.
  • Must work well as a team player.
  • Must be able to attain ASME welding certification.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Two plus years of welding experience.
WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
  • Steel-toed safety shoes and safety glasses are required.
  • Must be able to lift 60 lbs. at times, 40 pounds regularly.
  • A respirator must be used to weld inside large pressure vessels on occasion.
  • Working with very large parts regularly requires manipulation of these large parts by pushing/pulling.
  • Fitting together large parts using sledgehammers and other tools.
  • Working from ladders and platform ladders, requiring frequent up and down the ladders.
SCHEDULE
  • Standard 8-hour shifts, 150% paid anytime over 8 hours daily, hours over 45 in a week are paid as double time
  • Shift availability, standard schedules shown below
  • First Shift 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday
  • Second Shift 3:30 PM – 12:00 AM, Monday – Friday + 12.5% Shift Premium
  • Third Shift 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM, Sunday – Thursday + 7.5% Shift Premium
