Summary 
The Commercial  Installation Technician provides customer equipment installation of HVACR and or commercial kitchen equipment (e.g., fryers, grills, ovens, freezers). 
Details 

  • Adheres to all safety policies and procedures.
  • Installs kitchen equipment according to manufacturer specifications.
  • Designs, fabricates, and installs various ducts and fittings as required.
  • Communicates status updates on part order(s) and repairs with branch office and or customer.
  • Documents task (parts/work orders, timesheets) accurately and timely.
  • Service vehicle, tools, and uniforms consistent with Whaley policies and standards. 
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience 

  • One year of electrical, mechanical, and or installation experience with commercial kitchen/ HVAC/Refrigeration equipment  i.e., RTUS, chillers.
  • High school diploma or the equivalent in experience.
  • Experience with plumbing would be a plus. 

Skills and Abilities 

  • Ability to work independently and within a team
  • Ability to work nights and weekends.
  • An electrical and or plumbing background is a plus.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.

Working / Environmental Conditions:

  • Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds; frequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds with assistance and lift equipment.
  • Extensive daily travel to work site location.
  • Occasional to frequent exertion in high and low temperature environments (over heated kitchens, rooftops, outdoors, etc.).
  • Repeated bending, twisting, stooping, kneeling, and climbing up and down ladders.
  • Exposure to electrical, steam, and high heat units that require extreme caution and safety equipment.
