Job description

This role focuses on designing and developing electrical systems and components for a range of applications, with a strong emphasis on new product development for lighting and control products. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into robust electrical designs, conduct testing and validation to ensure compliance with specifications, and transition designs into production by interfacing with vendors and preparing detailed documentation and bills of materials. The position also involves developing and maintaining firmware, documenting designs and processes, and supporting the integration of electrical components into larger systems.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop electrical systems, circuits, and components for various applications, with a focus on new product development.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and translate them into effective electrical designs.
  • Conduct testing, validation, and verification of electrical systems to ensure compliance with specifications and performance targets.
  • Transition designs from prototype to manufacturing, including interfacing with vendors, creating and maintaining bills of materials (BOMs), and preparing production documentation.
  • Develop and maintain firmware for various lighting and control products, ensuring reliability and performance.
  • Perform component selection, schematic design and capture, and PCB layout, preferably using Altium.
  • Support automotive circuit design and power electronics aspects of new products as needed.
