Join Our Team as a Ground Labourer!

We are looking for a reliable, hardworking Ground Labourer to help with the care, maintenance, and improvement of a unique 10-acre private residential property in Tsawwassen, BC.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on outdoor work, learning new skills, and working as part of a small team. The successful candidate will assist with landscaping, property maintenance, construction projects, site improvements, and general maintenance tasks.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assist the Property Operations & Maintenance Lead with general property maintenance and construction projects.
  • Assist with carpentry, fencing, framing, repairs, and general construction work.
  • Help build and repair fences, gates, sheds, walls, and other structures.
  • Assist with landscaping, drainage, trenching, digging, and other site improvements.
  • Move, organize, and prepare building materials and supplies.
  • Load, unload, and transport materials, tools, and equipment around the property.
  • Operate hand tools and power tools safely under direction.
  • Assist with the use and maintenance of property maintenance equipment.
  • Help maintain driveways, pathways, storage areas, work areas, and outdoor spaces.
  • Assist with cleaning and organizing barns, garages, workshops, and outbuildings.
  • Remove debris, waste, and construction materials from work areas.
  • Assist with seasonal property maintenance and outdoor projects.
  • Keep tools, equipment, and materials clean, organized, and properly stored.
  • Follow instructions from the Property Operations & Maintenance Lead.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
  • Follow all required safety procedures when using tools and equipment.
  • Protect the property, tools, equipment, and materials.
  • Assist with other general maintenance and labour duties as required.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in general labour, construction, landscaping, property maintenance, or a related field is an asset.
  • Comfortable performing physically demanding outdoor work.
  • Able to lift, carry, move, and load materials and equipment.
  • Comfortable working outdoors in different weather conditions.
  • Basic knowledge of hand tools and power tools is an asset.
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
  • Reliable, punctual, and dependable.
  • Able to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work safely around tools, equipment, vehicles, and machinery.
  • Respectful and trustworthy when working on a private residential property.
  • Previous construction or landscaping experience is an asset but not required.
