Job description

Position Summary

Schedule Hours: Monday - Friday 3pm to 11pm.

The General Laborer will support distribution center operations by working on a sorting machine and performing manual material handling tasks. This role involves hand-sorting wooden pallets, boxes, plastic bins, and other materials while ensuring quality and safety standards are met.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Operate and assist with sorting machine processes
  • Hand-sort wooden pallets and other materials
  • Stack materials appropriately and follow supervisor instructions
  • Load and unload materials manually
  • Move materials on pallets or in crates throughout the facility
  • Inspect loads to ensure they are properly secured
  • Examine products to verify compliance with quality standards
  • Perform additional general labor duties as assigned

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Ability to work in extreme conditions including heat, cold, and exposure to air particulates
  • Frequently lift 50–75 pounds repetitively
  • Ability to bend, stoop, walk, turn, pivot, and stand for entire shifts
  • Frequent use of hands to handle, reach, and feel materials
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, talk, and hear throughout the shift
  • Good balance and strong hand-eye-foot coordination required
