Job Description
Tradesmen International, America's elite skilled labor force, is seeking experienced Commercial Painters to join our team. If you are a Journeyman Painter skilled in painting different types of surfaces using a variety of tools and techniques this is your chance to advance your career! As a Commercial Painter you will apply coats of paint, varnish, stain, enamel, or lacquer to decorate and protect interior or exterior surfaces, trimmings, and fixtures of buildings, and other structures.
Responsibilities:
  • Filling nail holes, cracks, and joints with putty plaster
  • Smoothing surfaces, using sandpaper, brushes, or steel wool
  • Removing old paint from surfaces using paint remover, scraper, wire brush, or blowtorch to prepare surfaces for painting
  • Painting surfaces using brushes, spray gun, or paint rollers
  • Simulating wood grain, marble, brick, tile or other special effects with cloth, brush, or sponge
  • Erecting scaffolding or setting up ladders safely to perform tasks above ground level
  • Drywall repair

  • Commercial painting experience (Journeyman skill level)
  • Strong working knowledge of job site safety as well as ability to complete a company specific safety orientation
