Job Title: General Laborer – 2nd Shift 2:30pm-11pm

Job Description

This 2nd shift general labor role focuses on performing detailed quality inspections on door hardware components produced by machines in a small production facility. You will visually inspect parts, take precise measurements, accurately count items, and document inspection results to ensure all products meet established quality standards. The position involves hands-on work on the production floor, supporting both inspection and general labor tasks in a structured, team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform thorough visual quality inspections on door hardware pieces produced by machines to verify that products meet established standards.
  • Use measuring tools, including a tape measure and other basic hand tools, to confirm product dimensions and specifications.
  • Accurately count parts and record quantities in logs or on required documentation to support production and inventory accuracy.
  • Document inspection findings clearly and legibly according to established procedures and quality control requirements.
  • Identify, separate, and properly handle defective or nonconforming parts based on defined inspection criteria.
  • Support general production tasks such as assembly, loading, and handling of hardware components as needed.
  • Use basic hand tools and power tools safely and effectively while performing production and inspection tasks.
  • Lift up to 49 lbs independently and participate in team lifts for items weighing 50 lbs or more, following safe lifting practices.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area to support efficient production and inspection activities.
  • Follow all safety guidelines, standard operating procedures, and quality control processes while working on the production floor.
  • Sit or stand for extended periods while performing repetitive inspection, measuring, counting, and documentation tasks.
  • Work collaboratively with production and inspection team members to meet quality, output, and schedule goals.
  • Communicate clearly with team members and supervisors regarding quality issues, production concerns, or process improvements.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fontana, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
