Swackhamer Masonry & Concrete is looking for hardworking and reliable General Laborers to join our team in Pendleton, IN. We specialize in decorative and flatwork concrete, including stamped concrete, exposed aggregate concrete, sand matrix concrete, patios, driveways, walkways, pool decks, and custom outdoor living spaces projects throughout the greater Indianapolis area.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work, wants to learn a skilled trade, and is ready to grow with a company that values dependability, teamwork, and quality craftsmanship.


As a General Laborer, you will support our field crews on concrete and masonry projects. You will help prepare job sites, move materials, assist with concrete pours, clean work areas, and follow directions from crew leaders and supervisors.

No previous experience is required. We are willing to train the right person who shows up on time, works hard, communicates well, and is eager to learn.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with concrete pours, placement, and finishing.
  • Help prepare job sites, tools, materials, and equipment.
  • Load and unload materials, tools, and supplies.
  • Keep job sites clean, organized, and safe.
  • Follow instructions from supervisors, crew leaders, and senior team members.
  • Assist experienced crew members with concrete and masonry tasks.
  • Participate in safety meetings and follow all jobsite safety procedures.
  • Perform general labor duties as needed.

Qualifications

  • Construction, concrete, masonry, or outdoor labor experience is a plus.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical labor.

  • Dependable transportation to get to the shop; transportation to job sites is provided.
