Position Summary:

The construction laborer will be responsible for supporting projects by performing a wide range tasks on job sites. This position involves preparing and cleaning job sites, operating hand and power tools, assisting the heavy equipment operator with driving of construction equipment, including bulldozers, forklifts, backhoes, and assisting in loading and unloading of equipment and material supplies as needed.ย ย 


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:ย 

  • Cultivate safety as a core value throughout the company, supporting the corporate safety program and personnel.ย 
  • Assisting supervisors with completing all tasks assignedย 
  • Safely Operate tamps, jackhammers, and other miscellaneous equipmentย 
  • Carefully hand digging with shovels, picks and digging bars to locate and expose existing utilitiesย 
  • Report repairs that need to be made to any equipment to foreman.ย 
  • Assist in operating heavy equipment in compliance with companies operating safety policies and procedures.ย 
  • Fully restore any excavations at completion of installation.ย 
  • When required and if appropriately licensed and authorized, drive or operate construction equipment to complete daily work assignmentsย 
  • Clean and maintain all company vehicles when assigned for useย 
  • Receive, store, and protect project material and equipment, including owner furnished items; documenting and reporting any shortages and damage immediately.ย 
  • Assist Foreman on managing the successful completion of all installations from start to finish.ย 
  • Be able to coordinate your actions with those of other workers on busy solar sites.ย 
  • Assist Foreman with accurate daily reports.ย 
  • Provide support and assistance to other Cinterra divisions as needed.ย 
  • Demonstrate a professional demeanor and ensure all project personnel act professionally.ย 
  • Handle special assignments and other duties as requested by leadership.ย 

Requirements

  • At least two years of construction experience (required)
  • High School diploma or GED (required)
  • Familiar with OSHA regulations (required), OSHA training and certifications (preferred)
  • Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.ย 
  • Must be able to work long and/or extended hours to include weekends, as needed, with ability to travel frequently.ย 
  • Requires a working knowledge of equipment being used (preferred)
  • Collaborative work style and commitment to get the job done.ย 


Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and carry heavy materials, tools, and equipment (up to 50 pounds or more).ย ย 
  • Must be able to traverse irregular and steep terrain.ย ย 
  • Endurance to perform physical tasks throughout the workday, including bending, stooping, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.ย ย 
  • Agility and flexibility to navigate construction sites and access work areas, including climbing ladders and scaffolding.ย ย 
  • Must be able to position one-self to work in confined spaces such as trenches, pits, manholes, and tunnels.ย ย 
  • Must be able to wear personal protective gear most of the day.ย ย 
  • Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions.ย ย 
  • Must have manual dexterity, a good sense of balance, and excellent hand-eye coordination.ย ย
