Concrete Finisher/Laborer:
  • 2401 S. Broadway Ave. Moore, OK 73160, USA *Full-Time.

Silver Star Construction, a local road construction company- is seeking Concrete Finishers and Laborers to perform a wide range of duties that may change depending on the type of project they are working on and the team members they are working with.
Responsibilities:
  • Placing forms that hold concrete to ensure the required depth and pitch is achieved.
  • Removing edges on expansion joints and sides.
  • Installing anchor bolts, steel plates and other fixtures in freshly poured concrete.
  • Polishing surfaces using smoothing materials, abrasive tools and surfacing machines.
  • Aligning forms for sidewalks, curbs and gutters.
  • Waterproofing, damp-proofing and restoring concrete surfaces.
  • Signaling truck drivers and moving chutes to facilitate pouring concrete onto forms.
  • Casting and spreading concrete to patch voids.
  • Applying hardening and sealing compounds to cure the surface of concrete.

Concrete Finisher Skills:
  • Knowledge of working with concrete.
  • Practical skills to operate power tools and machinery.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and plans.
  • Pour, level and smooth concrete for surfaces such as roads, curbs, sidewalks.
  • Operate concrete saw, curb and/or paving machine.
  • Seal joints, set string line.

Qualifications:
  • Physical ability - concrete finishers and laborers, stand long periods of time, bend and crouch to perform their job duties, all of which require physical ability.
  • Ability to work outdoors in extreme temperatures, both hot and cold.
  • Ability to lift heavy materials and work long hours.
