Job Description
Truckee Meadows Community College (TMCC), located in Reno, Nevada is seeking applicants for a Nursing Laboratory Coordinator. The position will be responsible primarily for management of the nursing teaching laboratory.
Minimum Qualifications
1. Bachelor's degree and one (1) year of clinical experience OR;
Associates degree and three (3) years of clinical experience.
2. LPN, RN, or EMT
3. Healthcare Simulation experience.
Preferred Qualifications
1Clinical knowledge in a healthcare field.
2. Knowledge of purchasing, finance, budgeting and materials management.
Responsibilities
1. Candidates must exhibit an appreciation of, a sensitivity to, and respect for a diverse academic environment, inclusive of students, faculty, and staff of varying social, economic, cultural, ideological and ethnic backgrounds.
2. Management of the nursing laboratory including scheduling, supplies and equipment for the nursing program.
3. Assist with organization of laboratory activities.
4. Serve as a resource and technical support for faculty for all equipment, software and patient simulators.
5. Purchasing of supplies and equipment for the nursing program with approval and review of budget with Director of Nursing.
6. Organization, set up and take down of student laboratory experiences.
7. Equipment maintenance and preventative maintenance.
8. Maintenance of laboratory supplies.
9. Management of student software study resources.
10. Transportation and lifting of equipment including heavy mannequins and supplies.
11. Understand and accept the role to be played as a partner in an educational enterprise serving the best interests of the students.
12. Perform assigned duties in a manner consistent with standards, mission, and goals of Truckee Meadows Community College.
13. Other duties as assigned.
Salary and Benefits Information:
Salary: $58,415 - $73,019, initial salary placement will be dependent on education level and years of experience
