The QA Technician monitors, documents and notifies all Food Safety/Quality and Food Security aspects of Juice Processing, packaging stores, Facility and Personnel to ensure that GMP’s, food regulatory and product specifications are met.

What you would be doing as a Quality Assurance Technician:

Ensure that the company and our customer’s Food Safety and Product Quality standards are recognized, maintained and improved.

- Product testing at all stages of Processing and Packaging

- Lab equipment operations, maintenance and calibration

- Plant, Processing, Equipment Sanitation Monitoring and Notification

- Sanitation CIP and documentation according to schedule with notifications of deviations

- Monitor scheduled titrations to check chemical levels for CIP cleaning and sanitizing compounds

- Auditing, documenting with notification of facility sanitation & GMP’s

- Plant, Processing, and Equipment monitoring all normal Production functions with documentation.

- Processing incoming raw materials (including juice concentrates, cleaning chemicals and incoming water, etc.) – Sampling, Brix, Color, Acidity, Microbiological, flavor, Receipt documentation and data recording, exception notification

- WIP- monitor and document Brix, Color, Flavor, Micro, Processing parameters including CIP, Pasteurization records, cooler temperatures, product temperature, acid (titration), release for packaging

- Work with finished good’s packaging and date codes, sampling, leak detection, product brix, micro, color, and flavor

Requirements:

  • Written and verbal communication skills
  • Microsoft Word and Excel experience
  • Food Quality Control or similar (chemical, Pharma) laboratory experience
  • Ability to stand and walk for entirety of shift, lift up to 50 pounds and climb stairs
  • Independent and motivated personality to be able to perform tasks with minimal supervision
