Richelieu Foods, Inc. is a leading national private label and contract packing food manufacturer focused on frozen pizza. We have two manufacturing facilities located in IL and WI. We provide products to many national retailers, wholesalers, distributors, club and mass stores, as well as industrial accounts including other food manufacturers.ย 

Shift available: 2nd shift

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform Inspections including Pre-Operative and Food Safety โ€“ document and communicate results.ย 

  • Perform Daily Operating Inspections as needed toย assureย compliance with GMPโ€™s and USDA requirements.ย 

  • Perform Magnet and Metal Detector Record Checks inform Supervisor of deficiencies.ย 

  • Conduct ATP swab tests โ€“ Daily and Weekly Line Swabs.ย 

  • Calibrate Lab Scale, pH meter, salt analyzer.ย 

  • Conduct Organic start-up tests including assurance that documentation of no unauthorized cleaner wasย used,ย line was triple rinsed and pH 7ย on line.ย 

  • Daily review of previous days HACCP records.ย 

  • Change thermometer recorder charts as needed.ย 

  • Perform Quality Audits โ€“ including Quality systems, production scales and salt analyzers, document and communicate findings.ย 

  • Preform In-bound checks andย checkย COAโ€™s toย assureย they meet requirements.ย 

  • Keep stock of Laboratory and Production supplies as directed.ย 

  • Liaison with USDA.ย 

  • Distribute weekly Code Date Sheets onย a timelyย basis.ย 

  • Report and Follow-Up on Food Safety and Food Quality concerns.ย 

  • Perform Pizza Line Coverage checks.ย 

  • Notifies Supervisor of all down times.ย 

  • Follows and enforces all Food Safety PPE/GMP requirements and reports any concerns.ย 

  • Performs otherย duties asย assigned by the Supervisor.ย 

Required Qualificationsย 

  • High School Diploma or GEDย required.ย 

Preferred Qualificationsย ย 

  • Previousย experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.ย 

  • Food experienceย 

Essential Skills and Abilitiesย 

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both oral andย writtenย required.ย 

  • Strong organizational skillsย required.ย 

  • Ability to interact andย to manageย conflict in stressful situations whileย maintainingย composure and perspective.ย

  • Ability to read and understand formula sheets.ย 

Work Environmentย 

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and power industrialย truck.

  • The employee isย frequentlyย exposed to cold,ย wetย and/or humid conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.ย 

  • The schedule for this role is typically Monday through Saturday, 10-hour shifts / 6:00 pm - 2:30 am.

Physical Demandsย 

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employeeย is regularly required toย stand for the duration of the production shift; talk or hear; use hands or finger to handle or feel; andย reach withย hands and arms.

  • The employee isย frequentlyย required to walk.

  • The employeeย is infrequently required toย sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, or crouch.

  • The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds,ย frequentlyย lift and/or move up to 40 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move more than 70 pounds.ย 

Pay and Benefitsย 

The following information is provided in accordance with applicable state and local laws. Compensation is based on experience, geographic locations, and other legally permitted factors. The starting hourly rate is $21.00/hr. This position may also be eligible for overtime pay and shift differential.
