Job description

Quality Manager - Permanent

The primary responsibility of this position is to be committed to carrying out the Companyโ€™s Quality Policy. An employee in this position must focus on customersโ€™ expectations, prevent problems, and strive for continuous improvement resulting in improved results for themselves, customers, and other employees. The employee will be required to wear all appropriate safety equipment including but not limited to eye protection, and in the plant a hard hat and any other required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Your Role and Responsibilities:

  • Will be required to participate as project lead or team member on an individual or group basis.
  • Responsible for all employee relations including and not limited to performance reviews, conflict resolution, personnel discussions, hiring, promotion and termination decisions etc.
  • Conduct routine meetings with subordinates and maintain open communication.
  • Understanding of Company Quality Mission and specific laboratory QC/QA protocols and corrective/preventative actions.
  • Manages time and attendance issues for employees on a timely basis.
  • Oversees the safety requirements, safe operation and conduct of the assigned team members.
  • Support and actively participate in Company 7S program, Lean Programs, or similar company programs.
  • Responsible to provide a positive environment and serve as a leader on daily basis to department members.
  • Assures that documented methods are followed at all times.
  • Create training plan and schedule for all personnel in all required methods including required QC/ QA. Will administer training and maintain documentation.
  • Ensures sufficient cross-training to effectively run the department at all times.
  • Develop and maintain SPC or similar QC system for monitoring process performance.
  • Lead investigation and follow-up through the closure of all corrective actions and customer complaints.
  • Determines appropriate method. Works with staff, production management, and customer service department to create and/or modify methods. Assures all methods are properly documented according to HPMN QA/QC policies.

What is required for this role:

  • A minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience is preferred.
  • The equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • Must be proficient in ERP system such as SAP
  • Possess advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

Demonstrate a high level of integrity, professionalism and leadership ability; exhibit a high level of motivation and initiative with the ability to meet deadlines.
