Description

Job Summary: The Assembly Technician (Electromechanical) performs hands-on fabrication, assembly, wiring, installation, testing, and troubleshooting of electromechanical systems and related electrical and instrumentation components. This role supports both prototype and production work, follows technical documentation and work instructions, and collaborates with production, engineering, and field teams to help ensure quality, safety, and on-time completion. The ideal candidate has strong electrical experience, familiarity with instrumentation, and is comfortable working in both shop and field/construction environments.ย 

Responsibilities:

  • Assemble, fabricate, wire, test, troubleshoot, and repair electromechanical systems, subassemblies, and instrumentation in accordance with drawings, schematics, and specification.ย 
  • Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, P&IDs, datasheets, and work instructions to complete assigned work accurately.ย 
  • Install and integrate instrumentation including sensors, transmitters, and control devices for pressure, temperature, flow, and other process variables.ย 
  • Perform functional testing, calibration, and basic diagnostics using tools such as multimeters and data acquisition systems.ย 
  • Support setup, operation, and maintenance of test equipment, fixtures, and instrumentation systems.ย 
  • Inspect parts, assemblies, and finished products to verify conformance with quality standards and identify defects or inconsistencies.ย 
  • Document assembly processes, test results, and nonconforming conditions in required logs, records, and systems.ย 
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, and production/testing equipment safely and effectively.
  • Perform basic equipment maintenance and communicate issues requiring additional support.ย 
  • ย Support installation, wiring, and troubleshooting activities in shop and field/construction environments as needed.ย 
  • Collaborate with production, engineering, and support teams to resolve issues, improve processes, and support prototype and production builds.ย 
  • Monitor inventory processes and support prototype and production builds.ย 
  • Monitor inventory of tools, parts, and supplies and coordinate replenishment to prevent delays.ย 
  • Perform other related duties as assigned to support business and productions needs.ย 

Requirements

Education & Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.ย 
  • Associate degree or technical certification in electrical, electronics, instrumentation, or related field preferred.ย 
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in assembly, electrical work, instrumentation, or a related technical environment preferred.ย 

Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong hands-on electrical and instrumentation experience, including wiring, installation, and troubleshooting.
  • Working knowledge of electronic components, control systems, and electromechanical assemblies.ย 
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, technical drawings, and instrumentation diagrams.ย 
  • Familiarity with calibration and testing of instrumentation (pressure, temperature, flow, etc.).
  • Experience using diagnostic tools such as digital multimeters and basic data acquisition systems.ย 
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to perform precise hands-on assembly work.ย 
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to consistent, high-quality work.ย 
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.ย 
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.ย 
  • String problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues.ย 
  • Knowledge of safe work practices in electrical, industrial, or construction environments.ย 
  • Familiarity with control panel wiring, layout, and assembly is a plus.ย

Work Environment:
