Job description

Support day-to-day laboratory operations within biologics development laboratories in New Brunswick, NJ. This is a hands-on laboratory support role focused on maintaining safe, organized, efficient, and inspection-ready laboratory spaces rather than primarily conducting scientific experiments.
Responsibilities include supporting laboratory inventory and material management, maintaining stockroom supplies, placing and tracking laboratory orders, coordinating consumable needs, assisting with sample movement, and supporting routine laboratory readiness activities.
The position will also assist with basic equipment support and low-level calibration activities, equipment sanitization, maintenance documentation, work orders, freezer and cold-room organization, expired-material cleanouts, laboratory safety walkthroughs, and instrument usage records.
The individual will work closely with scientists, laboratory services, facilities, engineers, vendors, and other support groups across multiple laboratory areas.
Position details:
  • Hourly rate: $24.62-$31.27;
  • Contract length: 6 months with possible extension;
  • Location: New Brunswick, NJ;
  • Work arrangement: 100% onsite;
  • Schedule: Monday-Friday, normal business hours;
  • Maximum hours: 40 hours per week;
  • W-2 contract position;
  • No C2C options;
  • No visa sponsorship.

Requirements
Required:
  • High school diploma or equivalent with relevant laboratory operations experience;
  • 2+ years of laboratory technician or laboratory operations experience;
  • 1-2+ years of purchasing, laboratory ordering, or material-management experience;
  • 3+ years of experience with Microsoft Office 365, with strong proficiency in Excel;
  • Hands-on experience with laboratory inventory, materials, supplies, or stockroom support;
  • General knowledge of laboratory equipment, safety, and day-to-day laboratory activities;
  • Experience working in a pharmaceutical or biotechnology laboratory environment;
  • Ability to communicate effectively with scientists, laboratory services, facilities, engineers, vendors, and other support teams;
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently;
  • Ability to quickly learn new computer systems;
  • Authorization to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Preferred:
  • Associate or bachelor's degree;
  • SAP Ariba experience;
  • 5S experience;
  • Experience supporting equipment calibration or basic instrument maintenance;
  • Experience supporting a large laboratory environment or multiple laboratory areas.
