Laboratory Supervisor (Night Shift)
Lead a High-Performing Histology Team
Are you an experienced Histotechnician looking to take the next step in your leadership career? We are seeking a Lab Supervisor to oversee the nightly operations of our fast-paced dermatopathology laboratory. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a team of professionals, drive quality initiatives, mentor staff, and play a key role in supporting exceptional patient care.
As a Lab Supervisor, you will partner closely with Pathologists, laboratory leadership, and operations teams to ensure accuracy, efficiency, compliance, and continuous improvement throughout the laboratory.

Key Leadership Responsibilities
  • Provide day-to-day leadership and oversight of laboratory operations
  • Ensure appropriate staffing levels to support workflow and turnaround times
  • Coach, mentor, and develop laboratory staff to foster engagement and performance
  • Monitor quality assurance activities and implement corrective actions as needed
  • Maintain compliance with accreditation, regulatory, safety, and infection-control standards
  • Participate in recruiting, onboarding, training, and professional development initiatives
  • Conduct employee evaluations and provide ongoing performance feedback
  • Collaborate with leadership to improve laboratory processes, efficiency, and service quality
  • Serve as a laboratory resource for operational and technical consultation
  • Perform Histotechnician duties as needed to support department operations

Required Qualifications
  • Current ASCP Certification (HT)
  • Minimum of five (5) years of Histotechnician experience
  • One of the following:
    • Bachelor's degree in chemical, physical, biological, or clinical laboratory science/medical technology with at least one year of high-complexity testing experience; or
    • Associate degree in laboratory science or medical technology with at least two years of high-complexity testing experience; or
    • Previously qualified or eligible to qualify as a General Supervisor prior to February 28, 1992
