Laboratory Manager- Up to $30/hr DOE!
This position is a direct hire opportunity!
Integrity Trade Services is hiring a Laboratory Manager for our manufacturing client to start immediately up to $30/hr DOE! Receive comprehensive benefits through our client upon hire!
Responsibilities:
The Laboratory Manager will help with coordinating daily lab activities, performing advanced testing, and supporting quality and safety standards across a variety of infrastructure and development projects, including transportation, bridges, airports, industrial facilities, and commercial construction.
The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring accurate, efficient, and compliant laboratory operations while collaborating with engineers, field staff, and project teams.
  • Coordinate daily laboratory operations, including scheduling, workload prioritization, and staff assignments
  • Perform and oversee advanced soil, rock, aggregate, and construction materials testing
  • Ensure all testing is conducted in accordance with applicable ASTM, AASHTO, and client-specific standards
  • Analyze and interpret laboratory data and provide results to engineering staff
  • Prepare, review, and verify laboratory reports, calculations, and documentation for accuracy and completeness
  • Maintain proper sample handling, tracking, storage, and disposal in accordance with established procedures
  • Support development and adherence to laboratory quality systems and internal procedures
  • Conduct routine quality control checks and assist with audits, proficiency testing, and corrective actions
  • Identify testing issues and recommend solutions or process improvements
  • Provide technical guidance, training, and mentorship to laboratory staff
  • Assist in reviewing testing procedures and ensuring proper methodologies are followed
  • Maintain organized and traceable laboratory records and data management systems
  • Monitor laboratory housekeeping, safety practices, and overall organization
  • Inspect and maintain laboratory equipment, including calibration tracking and coordination of repairs
  • Promote and enforce health and safety standards, including proper PPE usage and hazard reporting
  • Assist with continuous improvement initiatives, including evaluating new methods and equipment
  • Collaborate with engineers, field personnel, and administrative staff to support project goals
  • Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and cross-functional coordination

Location: Greenfield, IN
Schedule/Shift Details: 8am-5pm, Mon-Fri
  • Overtime as needed.

Qualifications:
  • Associate degree or diploma in Civil Engineering Technology, Geotechnical Engineering Technology, Construction Materials Testing, or related experience in a laboratory setting
  • Hands-on experience performing advanced soil, rock, and construction materials testing
  • Strong understanding of ASTM and AASHTO testing standards and laboratory quality systems
  • Familiarity with calibration processes, sample chain-of-custody procedures, and lab safety protocols
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD, soil logging software, or similar tools is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to validate data and calculations accurately
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to lead, train, and support team members in a collaborative environment
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Proactive problem-solving mindset and commitment to continuous improvement
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team environment

Work Environment & Requirements:
This position is primarily laboratory-based with occasional field or site visits. Responsibilities may include lifting up to 50 pounds and working in varying indoor and outdoor conditions. A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required. Candidates must be able to pass a background check and pre-employment screening.
