Job Summary

The Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) performs routine laboratory tests and procedures to assist physicians in diagnosing, monitoring, and treating diseases. The MLT works under the supervision of a Medical Laboratory Scientist or Laboratory Manager and ensures accurate and timely test results.
Key Responsibilities

  •  Perform moderate complexity laboratory testing in areas such as hematology, chemistry, microbiology, and urinalysis 
  •  Collect, process, and analyze patient specimens 
  •  Operate and maintain laboratory equipment 
  •  Record and verify test results accurately 
  •  Follow quality control procedures and safety standards 
  •  Maintain laboratory inventory and supplies 
  •  Collaborate with healthcare professionals regarding test results
