Qualifications:
Location: Madison, AL
Training Schedule for 1st 4 weeks: Monday thru Friday 7:00am to 3:30pm
After training will move to off-shift with $1 pay increase. Hours: 3:00pm to 11:30pm
Client plans to convert to full time after 90 days depending on performance. They are really looking for people who are committed with intention of long-term and eventually full time employment.
Manager requires site interviews with a color test administered on site the day of.
Education:
High School Diploma or GED minimum required
Background:
Must be able to pass a Background Check and Drug Test - no exceptions
Experience:
We would like candidates with at least 6 months experience in a Manufacturing environment. Forklift Driving experience is also a plus but not required. Candidates must be willing to be trained to drive Forklift.
Important:
We need candidates who are dedicated and will show up to work on time and ready to work when scheduled.
Job Description:
Fast-paced production labs, manufacturing facility with strict adherence to safety regulations regarding chemical handling.
Housekeeping:
Chemical hygiene standards require proper housekeeping in the workspace and the raw materials storage areas

Responsibilities:
Technician matching Industrial coating colors over metal substrates
Color matching process:
Matches color and gloss to customer requested samples
Works with Scientist to ensure color match meets expected performance
Creates and properly labels standards
Creates and properly labels customer samples
Color Formulation:
Measure, weight, and mix colorants to match samples.
Obtains raw materials and supplies from the production area
Safety: Understands and follows / Dura Coat Products safety policies
Quality Control: Use spectrophotometers and lab equipment to produce color chips validated against expected color standards.
Technical Adjustment: Adjust formulations to fix color discrepancies and meet specifications.
Documentation: Maintain accurate, detailed records of formulations and adjustments.
Equipment Maintenance: Calibrate and clean spectrophotometers and lab equipment.
Panel Preparation: Use metal shear to cut substrate and samples.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED.
Math and problem-solving skills; mechanical, numerical, and verbal aptitude to learn jobs quickly.
Ability to be licensed to operate fork trucks.
Demonstrated collaboration skills and ability to work within a self-managed team environment.
