Sema4 is seeking an experienced Data Steward- Production Bioinformatics. As part of the Data Infrastructure and Management team in the Production Bioinformatics department, the Data Steward will work closely with project managers, other software developers, and software quality analysts to locate, manipulate, process, and deliver data to different locations and systems.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Monitor analysis pipelines for clinical and nonclinical data delivery
  • Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) to generate testing data using both industry standard tools and Sema4's proprietary software
  • Collaborate with colleagues in the laboratory, bioinformatics, software quality and project management teams to support development, research, and software validations
  • Create and update SOPs and other documents
  • Participate in an on-call rotation to support off-hours delivery of data and prevent interruptions in service
  • Support clinical validation and documentation of process deviations

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Demonstrated ability to run command line programs and utilize a Linux environment
  • Familiarity with relational databases (MySQL is preferred) to author, edit, and run queries
  • Basic understanding of Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with technical writing and creating technical diagrams a plus
  • Experience with JIRA, Confluence or any comparable ticketing, documentation system a plus
  • Experience with healthcare data, genomics, clinical data or life-sciences data a plus
