Job description

Medical Technologist / Medical Laboratory Technician (Generalist) – Full-Time or Part-Time

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Medical Technologist (MT/MLS) or Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) to join our laboratory team. This is a Generalist position responsible for performing routine and complex laboratory testing to support accurate diagnosis and treatment of patients. Full-time and part-time opportunities may be available.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience across multiple laboratory disciplines and maintain a commitment to quality, accuracy, and excellent patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform moderate and high complexity laboratory testing according to established policies and procedures
  • Work across multiple laboratory departments including Chemistry, Hematology, Coagulation, Urinalysis, Blood Bank, and Microbiology as assigned
  • Analyze and interpret laboratory results while ensuring accuracy and timely reporting
  • Operate, troubleshoot, calibrate, and maintain laboratory instrumentation and equipment
  • Perform quality control procedures and ensure compliance with laboratory standards and regulations
  • Document and maintain accurate laboratory records and patient results
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and healthcare staff regarding laboratory findings
  • Follow infection control, safety, and quality assurance protocols
  • Participate in process improvement and departmental initiatives as needed

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or related field
  • ASCP certification or AMT certification required
  • Certification examples may include MLS (ASCP), MT (ASCP), MLT (ASCP), MLS (AMT), or MLT (AMT)
  • Previous experience as a laboratory generalist preferred
  • Strong knowledge of laboratory instrumentation, procedures, and quality practices
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills
