Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Lab Assistant - Anatomic Pathology.
In this role, the successful candidate supports the distribution process within the department of Anatomic Pathology. The clerks are responsible for filing and distributing the on-site and off-site materials produced by the laboratories and assisting with sending out any relevant send-out requests.

Job Responsibilities:

Filing and pulling specimen tissue blocks and slides, distributing slides to MDs. Preparing slides and blocks shipments for off-site storage.

Other clerical duties related to archiving documents, block and slides as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or the equivalent.
  • Effective oral, written, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic knowledge of personal computer.

Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of medical terminology. A minimum of one year of full time work experience in a laboratory setting

Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
