Job Title: Phlebotomist I

Location: Huntsville, AL 35801

Duration: 3+month contract (Possibility of extension or conversion)

Shift: Mon - Fri 8:00 a.m.- 5:00 p.m.

Pay Rate: $18.25– $19.55/hour (W2) (Based on experience and education)

Job Summary:

The Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) is responsible for providing excellent patient care by performing blood collection (phlebotomy) and preparing specimens for laboratory testing. This role involves direct patient interaction, ensuring a safe, accurate, and comfortable experience while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities:

· Perform blood draws (venipuncture, capillary, paediatric & geriatric collections)

· Prepare and process specimens for lab testing

· Verify patient information and ensure accurate labelling of samples

· Maintain proper documentation and records

· Follow all safety, PPE, and company protocols

· Provide a professional and friendly experience to patients

· Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area

· Handle both clinical and forensic specimen collection

· Work independently while meeting daily deadlines

Requirements:

· High school diploma or equivalent (required)

· Medical Assistant / Paramedic training (preferred)

· Phlebotomy certification (preferred; required in some states)

· 06-1 year of phlebotomy experience (including paediatric & geriatric)

· Strong communication and customer service skills

· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks

· Basic computer and data entry skills

· Flexible schedule (weekends, holidays, overtime as needed)

· Reliable transportation and willingness to travel

Additional Details:

· Clinic includes paediatric patients

· May work in patient service centres, clinics, or doctors’ offices

· Training location may vary
