Job Summary:

The Department of Biology in the Getty College of Arts & Sciences at Ohio Northern University welcomes applicants for a position that ensures the functionality and safety of the teaching laboratories.
We seek a talented individual who desires to serve the Department of Biology by preparing materials for teaching laboratories, including ordering and maintenance of materials and equipment. The Department of Biology also includes the ONU Nature Areas: (1) the Metzger Nature Center, a 78-acre residential field station and (2) the Tidd-Oakes Farm, a 350-acre conservation easement.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will prepare materials and equipment for laboratory courses; order supplies, equipment, and resources needed for laboratory courses; maintain laboratory rooms and storage facilities; enforce safety policies and procedures; hire, train, and supervise student workers; collaborate with faculty to coordinate lecture and laboratory activities, design laboratory assignments, edit lab manuals and syllabi; and attend department meetings. Other duties may be assigned, including to provide assistance to the ONU Nature Areas.
