Job description

We are seeking skilled and safety-conscious Front End Loaders / Excavator Operators to join our team. The jobs are full-time, long-term opportunities with one of the premier local contractors serving the Tallahassee/Quincy markets.


Please apply now with interest all qualified Front End Loaders/Excavator Operators with at least 3 years experience. $20 to $22hr++ and up to start LONG-TERM JOB OPPORTUNITY for all qualified Heavy Equipment Operators looking for work in this area.


The successful candidate will be responsible for operating heavy equipment to move, load, excavate, and transport materials while maintaining a safe and productive work environment. This position requires experience with construction, excavation, earthmoving, or material handling operations and a strong commitment to equipment maintenance and workplace safety.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate front end loaders, excavators, and other heavy equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Perform excavation, grading, trenching, loading, backfilling, and material handling activities according to project specifications.
  • Load trucks, hoppers, stockpiles, and processing equipment as required.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspections and report any mechanical issues or safety concerns.
  • Perform routine maintenance, including fueling, lubricating, and cleaning equipment.
  • Read and interpret site plans, grade stakes, and project instructions.
  • Work closely with supervisors, laborers, truck drivers, and other equipment operators to ensure efficient project completion.
  • Follow all OSHA, company, and site-specific safety regulations.
  • Maintain accurate equipment logs and inspection records.
  • Assist with general site duties as needed.


Qualifications Required:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience operating front end loaders and/or excavators.
  • Knowledge of excavation, grading, and earthmoving techniques.
  • Ability to safely operate heavy machinery in varying weather and site conditions.
  • Strong understanding of equipment safety procedures and hazard recognition.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks as required.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
