Job description

Labor Solutions is seeking Material Technicians for an automotive manufacturing supplier located in the Fairfax district. This role involves operating sit-down forklifts, assisting with assembling car part packages using hoists and team lifts, and ensuring a clean and organized work environment. The position includes significant mandatory overtime, making it ideal for candidates looking to work extended hours. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity with benefits such as 401k and insurance upon hire-on.

Responsibilities

  • Operate sit-down forklift safely and efficiently
  • Use hoist and team lift to assemble car part packages
  • Kit and palletize materials accurately
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area
  • Adhere to mandatory same-day overtime requirements

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of sit-down forklift experience; 3-6 years preferred
  • Able to regularly lift up to 50 lbs. role is not solely forklifting operation
  • Reliable commute to Fairfax area, able to start by 6:30 a.m. daily
  • Availability for mandatory overtime with same-day notice
