Job description

Wanco Inc. is seeking General Laborer in our Arvada, CO production facility.

Summary:

Perform general labor as needed by the company and under the direction of the Fabrication supervisor/manager, and the ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Essential Functions:

· Knowledge of basic hand tools and use of an electric grinder.

· Must be able to maintain a steady energetic pace.

· Hard-working -Reliable -Lift up to 50lbs, safely and steadily.

· Will include but are not limited to: -Fabrication / Cleanup of Metal and Aluminum

· Assistant, pickup and drop off of materials.

· Use an electric grinder to clean up welds so the material can be painted

EQUIPMENT EMPLOYEES WILL BE OPERATING

· Saw band & Horizontal

· Hand Grinder (Air & Electric)

· Drill Press

· Bridge-Port

· Various hand tools & air tools

Qualifications:

· Able to work in a fast-paced work environment.

· Able to work a shift from 6:00 am to 4:30 pm Monday-Friday and Saturdays 6:00 am-2:00 pm.

· Able to work mandatory overtime.

· Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating, and maintenance. instructions, and procedure manuals.

· Ability to communicate in English.

· The employee must be able to read blueprints and operate hand or air tools and bridge ports, calipers, squares, and rulers.

Preferred Additional Skills:

· Basic or intermediate understanding of Lean Manufacturing methodologies including 5S.

· Understanding of warehouse inventory principles such as stock rotation and velocity in a manufacturing environment.

· Experience working within an ISO 9001 qualified environment.

Physical Requirements:

  • Mobility to work in a large factory setting with walking, pushing, lifting, standing, and sitting, while maintaining PPE requirements.
  • Shift: M-F 10 hours daily (6a-4:30p), with frequent Saturday work.
  • Some local travel with company vehicle may be required

Reporting: This position reports to the Fabrication Manager.

Salary Range: $20 per hour.
