The Hand Excavator supports ESI's utility-locating crews by safely exposing underground utility lines using hand-operated excavation tools. This is an entry-level, labor-intensive role focused on physical tools like shovels and jackhammers, rather than operating heavy machinery. This role requires precise hand excavation, clear communication with locators and supervisors, reliable attendance, and strict adherence to safety protocols. Candidates must be comfortable working outdoors in the Texas heat, maintaining clean and organized job sites, and following detailed field instructions.
