Nurse Manager, Labor and Delivery – Florence, AL- Permanent Role

The Nurse Manager for Labor and Delivery provides clinical and operational leadership for the L&D unit, ensuring high‑quality patient care, staff development, and adherence to obstetric protocols.​

Key responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and day‑to‑day management for L&D nursing staff.
  • Oversee staffing, scheduling, and resource utilization.
  • Support quality initiatives, patient safety, and adherence to L&D and OR protocols.
  • Mentor and develop staff, providing performance feedback and coaching.
  • Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, and other departments to optimize care.

Requirements

  • RN with minimum five years of Labor and Delivery experience.
  • Leadership experience (charge, supervisor, or manager).
  • NRP, ACLS, BLS, and AWHONN Fetal Monitoring certifications.
  • Knowledge of OR processes related to L&D.
  • No adverse actions on nursing license.
  • Preferred: ICU or broader nursing experience; 10+ years in nursing.
