Job description

Citizens Memorial Hospital (CMH) is hiring a Patient Care Tech in our Birth Place in Bolivar, Missouri — someone who leads with skill, compassion, and a drive to positively impact every patient and family we serve.

Position Details

  • Status: PRN (Per Requested Need).
  • Work Shift: Days, Evenings, Nights or even Rotating
  • Hours: Varies upon shift
  • Shift Differential $1- $2 additional depending on shift.

What Your Day Looks Like: The nursing team at Citizens Memorial Hospital— Birth Place strive to SERVE in the care we provide to patients, families and each other. The Birth Place has 12 LDRP suites for labor, delivery and post-partum care where mothers, fathers and families can together and eagerly await the arrival of their newborn. The nursery, located across from the labor and delivery rooms allows new mothers an opportunity to rest, post-delivery, as well as their first night. Each nursing member brings their strengths to the team and works together to provide exceptional compassion and care to the community we serve. We strive to make a difference each day and promote positive, team-driven attitude.

As a Nurse Assistant/ Certified Nurse Assistant, you will be:

  • Assisting with patient assessment by collecting patient data and recording and reporting findings as appropriate.
  • Responding promptly to patient/ staff requests for assistance.
  • Assuring patient comfort measures are met performing frequent round on patients and anticipating patient needs.
  • Giving and receiving patient reports in an accurate and timely manner.

Qualifications:

Education: High School Diploma (preferred).

Experience: We prefer someone with labor and delivery as well as postpartum experience.  

Skills: Good Communication, Patience, Attention to detail, flexibility, Intrapersonal Skills.

Licensure/Certification: BLS for Healthcare Provider CPR (we assist with obtaining this) within 6 months of employment

Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for 90% of the shift and sit for the remaining 10% of shift. Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
