About Site

Catalent's Kansas City facility is home to our Oral & Specialty Drug Delivery, Biologics Analytical Services and Clinical Supply Services businesses.

Position Summary

We have an opportunity for a Label Specialist to join our team and support the Project Management Team, Operations Team, and our customers. In this role, you will print and inspect labels for clinical and commercial packaging and distribution. All work is performed in compliance with regulatory requirements, good manufacturing practices, and standard operating procedures. This position is key to ensuring accuracy and quality in label control processes.

Shift: Monday to Friday 7:30am - 4pm
Location: Kansas City, MO
100% Onsite

The Role

  • Maintain, manage, and request logbooks accurately for inspecting labels in label control.

  • Handle documentation and paperwork for the creation and inspection of labels.

  • Inspect English text, foreign text, multiple panel, and commercial labels for accuracy.

  • Review and approve the accuracy of prepared randomization logs.

  • Understand blinding requirements and inspect labels for accurate blinding.

  • Maintain, manage, and request logbooks for printing labels in label control, with awareness of space and equipment logbooks.

  • Calibrate and adjust printer settings; set up and use Printronix and Zebra printers.

  • Clean and maintain Printronix and Zebra printers per standard operating procedures.

  • Understand printer ribbons and their specific uses.

  • Print job runs, verify barcodes, and generate re-prints and required paperwork.

  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

The Candidate

Minimum Requirements

  • High-school diploma or GED.

  • 0-3 years of clinical labeling experience.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with project management, engineers, customers, staff, and other personnel.

  • Ability to plan and independently implement multiple projects.

  • High level of attention to detail.

  • Excellent documentation skills.

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to present information.

  • Blend knowledge and analysis with logic, active listening, and a continuing interest in simplification. Act ethically.

  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

  • Willingness to share skills and information with others.

  • Foster teamwork to achieve results.

  • This role also requires 20/30 corrected vision and a colorblindness test.

  • Demonstrated ability to read, write, and speak clear English.

Preferred Skills & Background

  • Experience in a GMP environment preferred.

  • Proficiency in business computer applications such as word processing, spreadsheets, and database software is preferred.
