Job Title: Low Voltage Technician

Job Description:
We are actively seeking a Low Voltage Technician to join our team. In this role, the Low Voltage Technician will be responsible for pulling, terminating, and testing structured cabling systems, with a focus on Cat6A data cabling. This is a hands-on position that involves running cable per project requirements, terminating cables at both ends, labeling for clear identification, and testing every run to confirm proper connectivity and performance.

The successful candidate will work closely under the supervision of senior technicians to ensure all installations are completed according to industry standards, safety protocols, and building codes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Pull low voltage cabling per project requirements and specifications.
  • Terminate cables, specifically Cat6A, at both ends to meet performance standards.
  • Label all cables clearly for identification and future reference.
  • Test all cable runs to ensure proper connectivity and performance.
  • Verify all terminations meet industry standards (e.g., TIA/EIA).
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area throughout each project.
  • Follow safety protocols and ensure all installations are done in compliance with industry regulations and building codes.
  • Assist senior technicians with troubleshooting and minor repairs of low voltage systems.
  • Document work performed, including cable paths, terminations, and test results.
  • Contribute to site cleanup efforts and ensure work areas are left safe and tidy at the end of each day.

Requirements:

  • Basic knowledge of low voltage systems and structured cabling installation techniques.
  • Familiarity with Cat6A and other low voltage cabling standards.
  • Experience with cable termination and testing equipment (e.g., cable certifiers/testers).
