SUMMARY
Screen Operator
Produces and prepares direct mail components and packages according to USPS regulations and Moore quality standards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The following are prioritized and categorized duties and responsibilities. Other duties may be assigned.
Department Goals, Strategies, and Procedures
  • Follows and supports department procedures and company policies.
  • Understands and supports the Company Mission, Vision, Core Values, and Business Attributes.
  • Establishes personal goals to improve individual and department performance.
  • Plays a role in the execution of company goals that, when achieved, contribute to fulfilling the Company's Vision.

Production
  • Reads, understands, and follows job card instructions.
  • Produces work that meets department production standards.
  • Sets up machines.
  • Inputs job information into the data capture system.
  • Performs minor maintenance procedures on equipment.
  • Gathers all necessary materials for production runs.
  • Works overtime and weekends as required.
  • Moves materials to appropriate locations through the use of hand trucks, floor jacks, or by manually carrying materials.
  • Works in other departments when requested.

Quality Control
  • Submits samples and job cards for supervisor approval.
  • Monitors work produced to ensure correct registration, color, perforations, and other quality standards.
  • Checks stock to verify proper codes match job cards (e.g., caution labels).
  • Verifies correct ZIP code order for both match mailers and postal regulations.
  • Produces samples for customer review.

Housekeeping
  • Maintains a clean work environment by sweeping floors, wiping down machinery, and collecting and separating recyclable materials.

Safety
  • Operates machinery according to department procedures and safety regulations.
  • Knows and follows department safety procedures.
  • Reports all work-related injuries to a supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret job cards, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to complete job cards and transaction sheets accurately. Ability to communicate in simple English sentences is preferred.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
